That means he saw everything from the times of Rama to Krishna, and maybe even more!
Jambavan in Ramayana – The Loyal Helper
The first time we meet Jambavan is in the Ramayana.
When Lord Rama, the prince of Ayodhya, went to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana, Jambavan became one of his strongest and wisest allies.
He joined the Vanara (monkey) army, led by King Sugriva, and played a very important role.

Jambavan and Hanuman’s Leap
When Sita was taken to Lanka, someone had to fly across the ocean to find her.
Hanuman was the only one strong enough, but he had forgotten his powers!

Jambavan in Mahabharata – The Jewel Fight
In the Dwapar Yuga, during the time of Lord Krishna, Jambavan appeared again—but this time, in a very different story!
There was a precious jewel called the Syamantaka Gem. It was powerful and shiny, and everyone wanted it.
One day, the gem went missing. Krishna was blamed for stealing it, but he went to find the truth.
He followed the trail and discovered that the gem was with Jambavan, who had found it and given it to his daughter for safekeeping.
Krishna and Jambavan didn’t recognize each other at first, so they ended up in a fierce battle!

They fought for 28 days, without stopping!
Finally, Jambavan realized Krishna was none other than Rama from the Ramayana—his old friend from a past age.
Jambavan immediately stopped fighting, apologized, and offered his daughter Jambavati in marriage to Krishna, along with the jewel.

Jambavan was not just strong—he was also very wise. He knew when to fight and when to step back. He always supported good people and helped them win by giving them the right guidance.
